Dan McCracken

Dan McCracken moved to Newberg in 1967 and began working at Barclay Press as a typesetter. While in high school he had begun to learn the printing trade at the Ontario, Oregon, newspaper. In 1978 he moved to Jackson, Mississippi, where he served as communications director for Voice of Calvary Ministries. Returning to Newberg and Barclay Press in 1981, he began entering into more of the publishing and managerial aspects of Barclay Press. Dan served as general manager of Barclay Press from 1987-2000. In 2002 he became Publisher/CEO of the restructured Barclay Press focused on publishing. Dan retired at the end of 2015. He and his wife, Cindy, became off campus Friendsview residents in 2017 and moved on campus in 2020.
