Logan Needy
Director of Dining Services
Logan grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, where he spent years working in the food service industry, but it wasn’t until 2015 that he truly fell in love with the culinary arts. When that passion ignited, everything changed.
He and his wife packed up their lives (and their six-month-old firstborn) and made the leap from the West Coast to the hills of Northern Georgia, where he stepped into his first role as Executive Chef of a small Spanish Tapas Wine Bar. It was there that his love for food deepened into something greater: a passion for not only the food, but for service and building great teams. From that moment on, he has been fully committed to growing as a leader in the culinary industry.
As his family and the world both grew and changed, with four little ones, he and his wife made the decision to head back “home” to Sherwood, where his wife was born and raised. They loaded up in a beat-up Honda Odyssey, floor to ceiling with suitcases, kids, and a dog, and made the cross-country drive to the family’s farmhouse just up the hill from here.
When Logan is not at Friendsview, you’ll find him running a vegan food truck business, wrestling with the kids (the baby supervises from the sidelines), tending the family garden, playing guitar, watching documentaries with his wife, meal prepping, or mucking horse stalls.
He is thrilled to continue his career at Friendsview and to work alongside such talented team leaders and culinarians, bringing his passion for food and genuine hospitality to the amazing residents we get to serve every day.
