Marc Shelton

Marc Shelton is the dean of the College of Education at George Fox University. Arriving in Newberg in 1993 to serve on a new team of administrators at Newberg High School, Marc then joined the faculty at GFU in 2000. Professional service includes the Newberg City Council (2007-2012), the National Council of Professors of Educational Administration (NCPEA) as a member of the Executive Board (2010-15) and as president (2014), and in a consulting role as the director of finance for the International Council of Professors of Educational Leadership (ICPEL), until June 2024. Marc is married to Kelly, a retired elementary teacher at Veritas School. Their three children – Emily, Benjamin and Jennifer – are living in Oregon, D.C., and Washington. The Sheltons have three grandsons: Jack, Noah, & Henry and are expecting another addition to the family in July 2024.
